The daily treadmill
You work for a boss, you have a start time and finish time, you might even have a set time for lunch or other breaks. You have to apply for leave, and this needs to work for the business and may not be approved. You have to get a medical certificate if you are sick and you might be just sick of work that day and need a personal day.
It’s easy to get stuck on the treadmill, we just keep doing it as we need the money to provide for our lifestyle/family, roof over your head and food on the table.
But are we happy? Do we have more potential?
Working for yourself has the most satisfying feeling, words cannot describe. But we must be the right type of person, we need to have passion for our chosen business and drive and energy to pursue it.
Many people think they should work for themselves and many of them do and do quite well. But who really suits self-employment? Entrepreneurs!
There are many unique self-starters in this world that are born to run their own business. You need to decide if this is you, that’s your first step before taking the giant leap.
Do you have the ability to time manage yourself?
Do you need a boss to tell you what to do all day long?
Can you set your daily work schedule without having someone guild you?
Are you able to put aside what you want to do and focus on what has to be done?
If you have concerns in any of the above questions, this may not be the right move for you. But, it also needs to be said, if you don’t try, you will never know.
